{"id":46,"date":"2017-02-12T10:19:32","date_gmt":"2017-02-12T10:19:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cobblemonster.com\/?page_id=46"},"modified":"2026-04-08T21:17:35","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T21:17:35","slug":"route-2","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cobblemonster.com\/index.php\/route-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Route"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The route will depart from <strong>upCYCLE Ldn<\/strong> and descend into the melee of the West End, blasting across some early <em>secteurs<\/em> of the smoke&#8217;s Victorian pave before tucking into the east end and its myriad lanes of snaking cobbled nadgery.<\/p>\n<p>We then cross the river to start a series of LBCs (Lung Bursting Climbs) which increase in frequency before the descent from Crystal Palace to the finish at <strong>Herne Hill Velodrome<\/strong>, where you can finish\u00a0 a flying lap, in homage to Paris-Roubaix (helmets are <strong>mandatory<\/strong> for the velodrome lap, sorry!).<\/p>\n<p>The route is designed for riders of all abilities, all bikes welcome, and encompasses a number of London Overground-enabled bail out points for those that suffer with mechanical or physiological events.<\/p>\n<p>For some this will be the biggest bike ride they&#8217;ve ever taken on, for others it may seem like a gentle spin.<\/p>\n<p>We guarantee all riders will know they have ridden their bikes!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The route will depart from upCYCLE Ldn and descend into the melee of the West End, blasting across some early secteurs of the smoke&#8217;s Victorian pave before tucking into the east end and its myriad lanes of snaking cobbled nadgery.
